Kelly Greens LLC.

We discovered a gem this week: kellygreensllc.
I bought some salad mix, komatsuna, and kales from this local greenhouse.
Everything were so fresh and clean!
Not that I've tasted spring morning dew but it would probably taste like their salad mix.
The komatsuna, I discovered, is the same as Vietnamese "cải ngọt," except Kelley Greens komatsuna had the deepest green hue I've ever seen. I sautéed the komatsuna with garlic, chicken (for umami), and baby portobello. Added some teriyaki sauce and, wow, how delicious!
The komatsuna was crunchy and had a bitterness that I absolutely loved. Some will find that bitterness off putting, but to a man who has eaten komatsuna since childhood, that bitterness was flavorful.
Sautéing komatsuna was tricky business. I wanted it cooked, but not overly so, since this vegetable will look wilted if overcooked.
I highly recommend Kelly Greens Farm if you're looking for some healthy, tasty, and local vegetables.
